Constipated baby goat

Good!! No it is not contagious to other goats. Clostridium perfingens, the bacteria that causes entero, is a normal inhabitant of the gut. Sometimes, for whatever reason, it will overgrow. Like most all of the clostridia, it produces a toxin, and the toxin is what causes the problem. While you are at the feed store, get some vitamin B. Polio, a thiamine deficiency sometimes caused by entero, is a concern. I forgot to mention it earlier. Thiamine requires a prescription, but since it is a B vitamin, large doses of over the counter B vitamins can be used in a pinch.

So I gave him some in his mouth and gave him an injection. How many times should I give him the injection?

Once should do it. You could repeat it in a half hour or so if there is no improvement. Can't hurt. Please understand that I could be wrong. It is difficult to make a diagnoses without seeing the animal. However, the symptoms you describe are typical of what is called a chronic case of entero. If he had an acute case he would have been dead long ago. In fact entero can kill in a matter of hours. If he does in fact have entero, you should see some improvement very shortly. I am going to send you a PM. Watch for it.
