Coop Bedding - Sanicare?

Hi!

Does anyone use Sanicare by Espoma for their coop bedding? I am strongly considering this and looking for opinions / routine with it. We’re in Pennsylvania!

I've never heard of it, but it looks interesting! The FAQ section of their website says it's safe for chickens... I'm intrigued!

Update: I love this stuff! It’s wood chips in the consistency of sand and is very soft. I also added poop boards / trays with sweet PDZ. The coop floor has stayed so clean and scent free. I go in there about once a week and sift out any droppings.

It looks great! I emailed the company to ask about bacteria/pest resistance because I wasn't able to find info on their site (I haven't heard back yet). I like hemp in my coop for deep bedding, but I think the Sanicare is cheaper (and more available) and it looks like I can treat it like I would the sand in my run - just sift out the poops and walk away... I'm considering a switch! Thanks for the update!!
