We got a playhouse and decided to turn it into a coop. It’s a two story playhouse. We’ve taken all exterior boards off put floors in both top and bottom. Removed slide and ladder. Our idea was to put door on bottom where nesting boxes would be with a ramp up to the 2nd floor. Of course the whole thing would be closed up and painted. Has anyone ever done a 2 story coop? I told my husband I think we need to expand at least the bottom section. Idk. Any ideas would be great. Thank you

I know you are working with what you have. Here are some of my thoughts.
There is nothing that says, your chickens will always opt for laying eggs in lower level. You do need easy access for yourself to get into 2nd floor.
An incline ramp from first level to second will work. That is on the way up. Usually chickens may not choose to walk down same ramp,,,,,, but rather jump/fly down. This does pose slight problem in confined area. Vertical crash landings are not IDEAL.. You can solve that situation, by installing a half way level so that chickens first get half way, and then jumps remaining distance. It can get tricky to do,,, but possible.
Make sure you understand ventilation needs for your area.
Not sure of your location,, but you need year round ventilation,,, as well as Summertime extra ventilation for hot months.
I would also like to mention windows for natural daylight.

WISHING YOU BEST,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and :welcome
