Newbie here - We’re in the process of building our first chick-mobile/chicken tractor. It has a run underneath and half of it has the coop portion on top.
We’re putting our door on the bottom of the coop portion that leads to the run. My question is how big should the door/hole be? I’ve read 12”x12” should be big enough. Do y’all agree?
We expect to have larger egg layers, but haven’t bought any yet, so I want to err on the bigger door size to give us space if needed.

Having a door on the floor is often problematic, at least from the coop articles that I have read...

Can you shift things about and make the pop door on the wall?

I need to go measure mine... but at a guess it is 10 inches wide, 12 high... I can measure in the morning.

Thanks! That’s a good enough guideline. You don’t need to go measure.
