Corid vs Ericlor 10

They had full run of the garage today , cleaned me up after 0900 weed eating & helped me work on the 6x8 brooder ! Couple stragglers but everybody's eating & drinking , they even picked @ watermelon for a treat , I noticed the 1 straggler that Inspired me to treat them has 1 eye shut & what looks to be infection in it , wasn't there this morning - but he's still eating & drinking , the other 14 are absolute spoiled little monsters
So cute!

Sounds like they are doing better being able to run around. Be sure to provide them with a little Chick Grit (Crushed Granite) free choice. Just sprinkle a bit out in a small dish or near where they run around, they'll pick up a few pieces.

Do you have photos of the eye? If it's looking infected, then rinse/flush with saline (you can use purchased or make your own/recipe below), remove any pus or debris that you find in the eye. Once the eye is flushed/cleaned, put some Terramycin Eye Ointment in the eye or if you don't have that you can use Original Neosporin. Repeat a couple of times a day.

Saline Recipe: Mix 2teaspoons table salt to a quart of water, bring to boil, reduce to a simmer for 15minutes. Cool. Store in a sanitized jar for up to 24hrs, then make fresh.

Here I am @ 0100 rubbing Neosporin on this chickens eye 😳,, It was closed today, 12 hrs later it's swollen & I could see infection - I rubbed Neosporin around it & the chick was actually opening it some , then it went straight to the feed ,, I felt food in it's crawl so it's on the mend , but it seems 1 setback after another with this 1,, it also moves like it's headed toward splay / spraddle ,, but it's much better than 2-3 days ago , it's eating & drinking and finding it all on its own . I'll keep working with it , but I'll never order eBay eggs without asking if the parents have been vaccinated !! , Better yet I'll purchase adult fowl from reputable breeders & breed , hatch , feed, my own , Preferably RoundHead Gamefowl

Hopefully they will improve more.

Gamefowl can be a good choice if you have room to keep roosters separated. I only have a few left, but I enjoy them.

More pics to come , that 6x8 will set on concrete blocks , 24in hardware cloth & have Elec fence around the perimeter ,, I tore down a monstrous pool deck back April / May , lots of good treated wood to repurpose.
