Coronavirus, Covid 19 Discussion and How It Has Affected Your Daily Life Chat Thread

Most of my supplements I have taken as a preventative. I started with L-lysine, then K in the autumn of 2021.

My Supplements
D (50k) Rx, 1x weekly

Daily, as per label
(Note: I don't always take daily, sometimes every other day because unless I am sick I can be slack about taking pills, I hate taking pills)

K (550mg) - take this with a daily D
I take it daily, pretty regularly

Take these two at the same time:
  • Zinc (30mg) (Acetate, Picolinate, & Orotate)
  • Quercetin (250mg)
Amino acids
  • L-lysine (500mg)
  • DMG (125mg)
NAC (600mg)
This has helped me when I get URI, or after I inhale dirt while mowing, anything to do with respiratory issues, cough, allergies

Biotin (5000mcg)
Cranberry (500mg)

The cranberry has been helpful for UTI prevention, personal experience

Biotin has been helpful for fungal infections, personal experience

When I take my supplements fairly regularly I notice a difference. I come home from a 10 hour work day and instead of collapsing in my chair I go outside and mow the lawn, etc. When I don't take them regularly is when I really notice!

See attached photo of my supplement list.

I hope that helps.

Yes, I am NOT an MD, just an older woman who reads a lot, has lived some, and listens to her body. I do that which seems to make me feel better. I make no guarantees.
Wow 5000 mcg of biotin? I take a prenatal and that just has 35 mcg in it. Does it help thicken your hair at all? I tried a biotin shampoo at one point but it just smelled bad and did nothing for my hair though I had high hopes. I usually take cranberry as well for a UTI preventative. It was recommended to me by my gyno. She said id have to drink a whole gallon of cranberry juice to get the same benefit as on capsule.

For those people who are considering trying Ivermectin and your doctors refuse to give guidance on the matter as is mostly the case in the UK this link may prove interesting.
NOTE. I am not endorsing this site or any of the information that can be found on it. Do read the supporting evidence. I know it's tedious.

I personally feel that the reason they didn't want to recommend ivermectin for covid is because stupid people might panic and buy it and poison themselves. Not saying that's true just a personal belief.

That's what it says on the bottle 5000 mcg.

I must have read hundreds of these I took Ivermectin posts and not one mentions the dosage, the form or how long it took to make a difference. So, be helpful, tells us the details please.
I held onto the box that my doctor prescribed for about a year. But, then I finally pitched it. I'm afraid I can't help you. I'm pretty sure mine came in a box of blister packs. After the 2nd dose I was much improved.

But does it work?

Edit:

I'm not questioning you I really want to know cause I might up my dosage. My hair has always been thin
I don't take it for my hair. Biotin has anti-fungal properties. When I don't take it I develop symptoms of fungal infection.

My dh has had toe nail issues for years. Doctor prescribed some pill and my poor dh broke out in a rash, chest and back. We went natural and found tea tree oil is good for toe nails.

I hope that isn't TMI, but you did ask.

There's no money to be made on a Nobel prize winning drug that's been around for decades. They could have prescribed the human version of the drug. But instead threatened to pull the licenses of doctors that wanted to do that for their patients.

I bought mine from an independent pharmacy. But I do know a very cheap person who used horse ivermectin. He accurately did the math and dosed by weight. According to him he felt better within 24 hours and didn't poison himself.

But I can see a lot of people not doing that and taking too much.

Not saying everyone does but a lot of people do some pretty stupid stuff when they're scared, drunk or just stupid...or some combination of the three. Ask any paramedic and they'll tell you a few stories. I personally got by with just bed rest, colloidal silver and vitamin c and d.

Very true, seen alot in the fire department. Very common was getting to a house and the patient is already in the open doorway dressed up, hair done smells like they just got out the shower with thier to go bag. Knowing if they went by ambulance they would go straight to the back in the E.R. instead of having to wait like everyone else
