They don’tmuch, and just one thing each day. They have thiamine in their feed already, so just give a boost. Yes grit is nneded for seeds or grains, and foods other than chick crumbles. Finely ground foods would not require it, so you could do that. Chick grit (granite) is sold in small bags.
