I have heard that as long as it is done before they reach sexual maturity and before they start crowing there is a good chance it will prevent the crowing. Is that true?

That emoji is so cute
But he's not brokenI’m thinking about getting him fixed
But he's not broken
Oh, if that’s your concern then you don’t have anything to worry about. Just because you have a rooster doesn’t mean that chicks are going to magically appear you will only get chicks if you allow the hens to hatch them. It’s ok if he crows , I don’t have the money or facilities to hatch chicks, nor the space for too many of them. I’ll call some vets and see if someone around me can do it. I would be heart broken to get rid of him. We will see, I’m so upset about this. The hatchery should have seen this was a male. I had my suspicions when I got them but thought for sure a professional hatchery would be able to see that more than me. They should anyway.
Assuming you don’t have a bunch of free ranging hens that would be hard to keep track ofOh, if that’s your concern then you don’t have anything to worry about. Just because you have a rooster doesn’t mean that chicks are going to magically appear you will only get chicks if you allow the hens to hatch them.
A charge back will be more effective, this guy is a regular con artist, he should be in prison.Call them and pitch a fit. I get sexing errors for vent sexing other breeds, but cream leg bars are color sexable at hatch. In your first picture he is very obviously a cockerel and anyone working at a hatchery with a pair of working eyeballs would have seen that.

Yes, but no. It will sterilize him but he'll still crow and act out. There's also a large chance of him dying under the surgery (with no anesthetic) that's why it's only does on meat birds, where it doesn't matter if they die or not. He's too young to really guage his personality, it will be better to rehome him. I'm sorry.I’m thinking about getting him fixed because I want to keep him, I love him, he’s part of my family now. Is that possible?
Charge back. This guy is a known crook. That’s what I thought. They don’t respond to my emails and don’t have a working phone number. I went to the BBB and filed a complaint. Thank you!
