Sorry if this is the wrong forum.
But my Polish bird has a target on her crest! The other birds are too fascinated by it and won't leave it alone.
I'd like to make some sort of hat or crest protector- something to cover it for a while.
Any ideas how to do this?
Is there something similar already out there?

I would but the other birds are snipping pin feathers. I just need them covered while they heal.

I'm not too sure then.

I know that they have little hats for chickens on etsy, but they're more for costume pictures. It would cover her head, but I don't know if it would be too easy for her to get off.

Maybe something to check into though.

Thank you. I'm looking. Hoping there's something easy I can throw together at home though.

A picture of what you are trying to cover could be helpful.
Is it the feathers themselves because of how they move in the breeze?
A pattern on top that looks like a tasty bug the others want to eat?

They make "pick no more" a bitter tasting spray you can put on them. Not sure how well it will work.
They are gradually picking down her feathers.

Poor baby. I would try the pick no more and a comb over.

Pull back the feathers in front of the bald spot and clip them to the feathers on the back side.

A butterfly/spring clip might work. The kind in the little girls hair section.
Poor little one, for sure. I'll definitely try that. I'll try anything that might help!
What's a butterfly spring clip?
