Can someone explain the crop, what it is, and issues with it. I’m ignorant about this.

The crop is where the food is temporarily stored after eating. Common issues with the crop are sour crop & impacted crop.

Sour crop occurs when the crop is squishy, meaning there is a fungal infection. There is a foul odor that comes from the beak and the bird will show that it is unwell.

Impacted crop is hard and solid. This is when the food they eat, mostly grass, becomes clogged.
