Where did you get the Rhode Island White Rooster? That will a big difference, Hatchery so called "Rhode Island Whites" are sex-link silver where a lot of breeder's R.I.Whites are Receive White.

Either way the offspring would be cross breeds and no longer a "Rhode Island" since they are two different breeds.

You'll be able to sex them 100% at 20 weeks

Sorry, I'm guessing you're asking about making sex link chicks? You've got your genders crossed for doing that, you'd need a red rooster over a silver hen. I'm not even going to go into how rare true Rhode Island Whites are, or the silver vs dominant white genes.

pioneer girl got her genders right. I have the same question. Does anyone have a good answer? RIW rooster with RIR hen. Put all the “if it’s a true this or that” aside. Just assume they are a true breed. Would the offspring be cinnamon queen as vice versa would?

This thread is from 2012, you might have better luck making a new one ;)

I believe the off spring is a golden sex link. They lay a ton of brown large brown eggs at a very young age. They are cinnamon to cinnamon white in color and can be sexed.

Not exactly. It's the other way around. RIR rooster over RIW hens (provided they aren't recessive white) would throw sex links.
