Approx 5 to 6 months ago my husband and I adopted our first chickens. All we know about them, is they were for breeding roosters for fighting.
Everytime i think i have found a breed of chicken that looks like them, i see another online. I would like some advice to what breed they may be, just for our own curiosity.

There are lots of American games with peacombs tho too. Lots of Kelso are peacombed and all Lacy roundheads. Both come in yellow and white leg models. More Lacys are white legged and throw some yellow. Kelso tend to be yellow legged but there are white legged strains, which often throw some yellow.

The combs are small and look like pea combs but i could be wrong.
They fight with each other and i still have to keep them separated. With the exception of the hen that's always broody. She gets along with all the others but they pick on her and won't let up.

Sweater, lacy, and kelso are all strains of gamefowl. I would just call them American games, you don’t have to get too specific.

I took better pics so u can see the features. 2 are like the bird in the first and third pic and 2 are like the bird in the second pic.
I have tried every month to put them together but all they do is pick each other in the face or eyes til they bleed. I have given up and just keep them separated. It's been quite a challenge for my first chicken experience. Right now I have one that is broody and have fertilized regular backyard chicken eggs under her. My plan is to give 3 of these adult birds away to my niece who has several acres to free range and just keep the chicks and mama. If they really are game fowls it doesn't seem like they will ever get along .

I have a hen that's very similar to the first picture. The only difference is her whole body is the same color as her neck and her combs bigger but they look very similar from what I can tell. Id love to know the breed.
