Curious- jersey giant quail hybrid.

I've read that quail and chikens can cross. Wonder what a jersey giant quail hybrid would look like?

Maybe a quail rooster an a jersey hen. Small jersey hen. Very small. Don't know if they get that small. How big is a quail rooster?

And physically, how exactly would that happen?

I've read of it being done by artificial insemination by some scientists studying genes that are similar in the two different species.

I think they said that most or all of the chicks died without hatching, but the scientists still got their answers because the chicks were far enough along to show whatever traits were being studied.
