Curling spur, how to use a dremel?

After looking through posts it looks like our silkie, Bubbles, needs to have his spur cut back a bit with a dremel. Can anyone point me in the direction of how to use one? I'm currently watching loads of YT videos, but not super confident. Would you recommend any material to practice on? For reference I picked up the 8240-5 12v Dremel. I got the fiberglass cutting discs, but the one it came with looks like it could be good. I'm not a wood worker so not sure where to begin with practicing or if perhaps someone has written step by step here already? I'll keep looking! Thanks in advance for any leads or directions to follow.

There is another option - removing the spurs. This approach is much quicker and easier and longer lasting than Dremmel trimming.

Take pliers and grasp the spur at the base and twist gently but firmly back and forth until the spur loosens and then simply lift it off.

The inner spur nub will be wet with pink tinted serum. It will dry in a few hours, and it will harden in about two days. It will be two years before you need to do it again. Maybe longer.

Thanks so much for your response and idea. I did read a lot about removing the spur. It looks like you've been doing this for some time. Do you feel one method is better than the other? Thanks again for your time!
