Hmm honestly I’m not really 100% sure just because I haven’t been whale watching in forever but we used to go all the time and we always went out of Cape Cod or Boston. And I’ve even seen whales here just randomly not on a whale watch. So I would say Boston. The whale watches around here go to Stellwagon Bank Sanctuary which is their feeding ground for a lot of species. I’m not sure where the Maine ones go. But Maine is also GORGEOUS. So I’d also recommend it for that reason too lol but yeah I say Boston for whales

You’re welcome! Sorry if that wasn’t very helpful lol I will say Maine has a lot of really cute little towns and things if you’re into that. Like shops and stuff. And also beautiful scenery and hikes and stuff. Like Bar Harbor, Acadia, etc. is gorgeous. BUT! Boston is a really cool city too and lots to do as well and I think is probably better for actual whales so I guess it depends if you want strictly whales or a bit of everything lol I guess it depends on when you would be going too because obviously some stuff might be seasonal or whatever too but yeah.
