Hello all,
Unfortunately, two nights ago my hen, Onyx, got a very bad case of impacted crop and we had to put her down. I know that I'm heartfully distraught, but I have only one other hen who was very very close with Onyx. I'm worried that she might become depressed as she's constantly clucking at me as if to ask "where is Onyx?". I'm in NJ and it's getting colder so I'm not sure if I should get another hen or two to keep my lone bird company. Thoughts on what to do?
