Aquasol is designed to go in the water, it's FDA approved at a low dose rate that treats roundworms only.I had this:

I just realized I overdoesd my chickens and I didnt realize this is not concentrate.
I ended up getting safe guard goat fenbenazole 10%. I am dont 0.23 x their body weight, but I stopped giving it to the chickens I overdosed (they seem fine although.)
Alright thanks for the info. Yeah I read it after I gave it, stupid meAquasol is designed to go in the water, it's FDA approved at a low dose rate that treats roundworms only.
If you read the package insert and instructions, it will tell you how to mix in water.
The Safeguard Liquid Goat Dewormer 10% is also Fenbendazole, but it's dosed orally and usually at a higher rate to treat most worms that poultry can have except for Tapeworms.
It's always a good idea to read the package/labeling and inserts for any products you buy. Unfortunately Safeguard decided to put yet another product on the market that has caused quite a bit of confusion, you are not the first and won't be the last.
No, not stupid.Alright thanks for the info. Yeah I read it after I gave it, stupid me.
I stopped giving the birds I overdosed fenbenazole, should I continue.
Yes I do, Snooze, Peaches, and Beaky. No, not stupid.
The packaging/colors of the packaging, name, etc. are all extremely similar! And both are Fenbendazole just different formulas and different strengths. It's very confusing and frustrating to a lot of people, I wish they had designed the packing differently or something.
Do you know which hens you gave the excess to? How many days did they get that larger dose?
Oh, well that's not too bad then.Yes I do, Snooze, Peaches, and Beaky.
Peaches got the excess dose for 2 days. The other 2 only one day. (I ran out thank goodness.)
Yes. It's just in a different bottle.Oh, well that's not too bad then.
I'd just go ahead and start over, giving everyone the right dose.
You have thisfor Goats right?

Thank you so much for guiding me through this! This is my second year of owning chickens, and I have never dewormed them so this was a first for me. Thanks again!Ok Good!
Yes, that's the newest bottle style that has come out.
So, I know you have dosing down pat by now, but for you again and for those that may read this in the future:
Safeguard Liquid Goat Dewormer (10%) dosing is 0.23ml per pound of weight, given orally once a day for 5days in a row. This dosage and duration will treat most worms that poultry can have, except for Tapeworms which would require treatment with Praziquantel.
