If he makes it I will def throw all that into an article so we have access to it! I am seriously excited and sorta dumbfounded too, but I am always dumb ! he he he
He very well might make it
I had one about 2 weeks ago I was opening eggs that didn't hatch ....cracked the whole top off one with the handle of a screwdriver it bled a drop and then heard a peep Almost dropped it!!
Ran it inside wet paper toweled it and popped into the lock bator About a day later it hatched !!..
I think I had to help the last bit as like yours it was sort of glued a little so couldnt do the whole job alone but did some and out

Oh my gosh Sally! This is ALWAYS my worst nightmare when candling. I’ve envisioned it at least three times every candling session. You know why it happened to you don’t you? You are the great teacher! From every tragedy comes great experience. You have taught so many… and maybe, just maybe, little Humpty will give you your next possibility to teach even more. I have a feeling you will bring little Humpty in just fine. There may be a few obstacles in the first few days, but if anyone can pull this off…. YOU CAN! Hang in there girl… I’m rooting for you both!!!

I place a comforter wherever I need to handle the eggs so if they fall, hopefully, the comforter will save them.

Ok... Tell a newb. What are the pennies for?

Pennies made before 1985 have lots of copper (pennies made after are coated in copper but inside is really zinc) and copper is great at killing bacteria and keeping it at bay. So the pennies will help keep bacteria from growin in the incubator during the incubation :)

Okay Sally, It's been 12 hours since I discovered the pip. No progress. It's upside down, chirping lightly and moving around. The membrane is as bright white as Humptys. Advice? Wait? Is white good? Why is it everytime I do this, I forget what I did last time?
