Hello! We have 40 eggs in our Brinsea Ovation 56 EX incubator. The incubator will be put on lockdown in 3 days and the eggs are due to hatch in 6 days. We want to seperate our Easter Egger mixes and our Marans mixes from our other mixes. Any ideas on what we could use to seperate the eggs? Thanks in advance!

Welcome to BYC. How about cardboard dividers? Something like this:

To begin, I would like to thank everyone for their suggestions. We ended up going with the cardboard divider idea, as we had extra cardboard boxes. Just wanted to share some pictures of how it turned out.

How did the cardboard dividers work out for you? We have the same incubator and are looking for a way to keep the hatchlings from marked eggs separate dues hatch.

They worked for us until the chicks began climbing over the cardboard dividers. As long as the cardboard dividers are tall enough that the chicks will not be able to climb over them then they work well.
