There is a Century plant getting ready to bloom down the street..... They are soo amazing. they grow for thirty five to fifty years then bloom and die.

The stalk starts out looking like a giant Asparagus that is about eight inches in diameter.....

I believe the one in the picture is a Blue Agave.... Yep the same one they use for Tequila....

Not yet, gotta figure out where to put them... was gonna take them over to my inlaws to plant, but she decided to wipe out the whole potato garden... :/

Btw, my OH about chit a brick over the 'brown dust' seeds... says you can have eggs anytime you want 'em...

We use a variation of the Amish method for planting any tobacco seeds. Those Virginia brightleafs get as big as a car hood. We dust them over a moist, aerated, plot. Then shade them until they sprout.
