Do I have Black Copper Marans?

About 3 weeks ago I purchased a small assortment of 16 week pullets from a farm that buys chicks from a hatchery (did not mention a name) and raises them to be sold. I bought 2 hens of what was listed as Black Copper Marans. I’ve been questioning if they really are what I asked for. The gentleman also had black sexlinks which I’m wondering if those are what I actually have. I’ve heard of the Copper Sexlink breed, could that be a possibility? I have taken a few pictures over the weeks. The 2 hens are starting to become comfortable and get closer to me. I can try for better pictures if needed. Thank you for the help.

I’ve read mixed things about the feathers on the legs. It seems like the Maran breed from hatcheries has quite a bit of variation

Some hatchery Marans might not have feathers. Good quality FBC Marans will have feathering down the outer leg and toe.

These birds look like black sexlinks to me. Their leg color looks wrong for Marans. Marans should have dark legs with the soles of their feet looking pink.

Reguardless, you have very pretty birds that should give you lots of eggs.

Like this ? This hen is slow maturing , I notice feathers only on the outer sides of her legs - legs are blackish grey in color
