I just wanted to introduce myself (as it is a requirement). My name is Pedro.and I live in Tennessee. I'm just now getting to raising chickens (for eggs) and want to learn more about how to maintain healthy birds.

I have a mixed bunch of chickens and still learning about their specific breeds so please forgive me if I sound stupid.

Nope, nobody gets called stupid when it comes to chickens. Some of them get that name though!

As for what breeds you have, we have a whole forum just for that so you're definitely not alone! Just take pictures of them and post them here: https://www.backyardchickens.com/forums/what-breed-or-gender-is-this.15/

Peeps love to try figure out breeds so someone will ID them for you.

We were all new at keep chickens once, unfortunately they don't come with a manual. We learn as we go and BYC is a wonderful resource to be able to tap into. Make yourself at home here and ask as many questions as needed.
