Evidently, they all worked out whatever it was. They are all back to their normal peaceful selves. Except at roosting time. The six Australorps still take twenty minutes sorting out who gets the most favored spot and how close they can pack together around it.
The two Leghorns stay out of that, settling a few feet over. I'm not sure if Spice and Nutmeg are at the top of the pecking order or are a subgroup a little outside the main mob.
Dh is between fascinated and exasperated. I had to try and explain why we build 7' of roost for (will be) five or so birds when they jump on top of each other packing the eight of themselves into little over 2'.
