Just wondering how many of you eat Turkey eggs? We eat them all of the time and now a few family and friends have tried them and they would rather eat fresh Turkey eggs rather than store bought chicken eggs.

You guys are killing me with how much better turkey eggs are than chicken eggs. I just got turkeys for the first time, they are 4 weeks old. I'll let ya know how they taste in a year.

What do they taste like? I haven't tried it yet...

To me the difference isn't really in taste ... they are creamier, smoother because they have a higher fat content (not enough to worry about the diet) in ratio they emulsify better. We love them but our girl only laid for a few weeks and hasn't started again. However, we have some that are 18 weeks now as well, so maybe they'll all lay some this year for us.

That is EXACTLY how I describe it. It is creamier and smoother. You hit it on the head. BINGO! :thumbsup

I wasnt sure about eating them either. I have 5 BR poults 4 1/2 weeks old so ill be expecting eggs next spring. We got them to be able to hatch out our own turkeys I was curious about eatting the eggs also but I have read some people think they are worth too much to eat and hatching is better. If the eggs are as good as you say I wont have any eggs to hatch lol and my chicken may feel left out

But I may give them a try.
