I picked up an Egg Genie on sale at Walgreens...and I was wondering if I can use it to hard boil fresh eggs? I wonder if they will still be hard to peel. I thought maybe someone here might have bought one. Hopefully I'm not the only one that gets sucked into infomercials!!

There's a pic...you plug it in, and I suppose it cooks them with steam.

About the Egg Genie. I know this is a long time ago do you signed this. Hopefully you read the instructions by now. My brother has an Egg Genie and he says that it makes hard boiled eggs perfect. He gets eggs from me. I have 9 chickens. He says they're really easy to peel with using the Genie. Which is something I've had problems with just boiling eggs on the stove, they don't fresh eggs don't peel very well.
I'm found if I boil them for 25 minutes & use an eighth of a cup of salt. They turn out fine, and easier especially if you wait a day after you boil them. I've been trying to find am Egg Genie and can't find one around here. I'm a little surprised that if you have chickens and a supply of eggs that you wouldn't surrender couple eggs to least try it out. Good luck with that.

Apparently I did something wrong when using the egg genie I bought, because I threw mine in the trash! Now I have never heard of the Aroma egg cooker and will have to check that out.
