Hi,
I went to Tractor Supply yesterday to get CORID for my chicks that have coccidiosis, and I came out with a lot more!
One of the things I got was a 12 egg capacity ImPECKables brand incubator for literally $12 😅 😲 Originally $100! Now that's a deal I couldn't pass down!
We went online and saw that it only has 2 star reviews, though.
Do any of you have this brand? Does it work well or has it given you problems?

Thanks!

It's the one I bought and so far I've already hatched one chick with it so no serious complaints. Only thing I've noticed is that the humidity is rarely up to what I set it at so I might set it higher to compensate.

I bought this same one at Tractor Supply for an emergency situation.
It was very difficult to get the heat regulated which frustrated me. It was too low and then went too hot. I finally got it settled and it did keep my little miracle chick alive. Definitely not my favorite incubator. I prefer my Nurture Right 360.
This is how I used my ImPeckables incubator
I'm struggling with humidity. Most of the time it's fine but I keep getting the drop alerts.

I don't know how to help with humidity. I did all my hatches here dry. My humidity is high enough. I never added water to this incubator. Some people have put wet sponges in their water trays. Maybe this can work?

So what you are saying is that it doesn't really read the humidity levels correctly? Probably a good idea for me to put a humidity and temp gauge in there just to be safe.....
Sorry just thinking "out loud" to myself 😆 lol

I may try that at the section batch. I may also just try setting and forgetting and just adding water everyday. I don't know. I've already hatched three chicks in it and have three more coming so I probably shouldn't worry about it.

No need to be sorry and yes I think the gauge itself might be off because despite the humidity fluctuations I've successfully hatched a good portion of my fertile chicks. Out of the 12 I started with it looks like we'll end up with 7 healthy chicks which sounds fair to me especially since I'm a newb and made several mistakes along the way.

I think that's a pretty good hatch rate.
Same. This year I hatched for my first time and made lots of mistakes. Next hatch I'm gonna learn from my mistakes and tweak different things based on all the things that went wrong 😅

Just bought one. I've no experience with this particular incubator but with another one. I've learned that many things can affect humidity and temp. Where you locate your incubator does matter. My house has a high humidity just as is. I kept a thermometer in the room I kept the incubator in. One corner may run hotter or colder of another corner in the same room. There is a learning curve and it takes experience. I've just started back with chickens so I have no eggs at this time. As a rule for me I've found letting a hen hatch is much better. Especially with Marans which some say are hard to hatch using an incubator. I just got a trio of coppers from a couple in Maine at the CNY chicken show. Once has a Dominique hatch two for two in February and below freezing weather. So I will get a hen in a breed that's a good brooder. Nice to be back.
