Constantly Talkin Bout Chickens
Very very cool! Thanks for the info, and welcome back!Just bought one. I've no experience with this particular incubator but with another one. I've learned that many things can affect humidity and temp. Where you locate your incubator does matter. My house has a high humidity just as is. I kept a thermometer in the room I kept the incubator in. One corner may run hotter or colder of another corner in the same room. There is a learning curve and it takes experience. I've just started back with chickens so I have no eggs at this time. As a rule for me I've found letting a hen hatch is much better. Especially with Marans which some say are hard to hatch using an incubator. I just got a trio of coppers from a couple in Maine at the CNY chicken show. Once has a Dominique hatch two for two in February and below freezing weather. So I will get a hen in a breed that's a good brooder. Nice to be back.
