Does anyone actually use these in their brooders? Are they ok?
(Sorry about the bad photo, it's straight off my computer😅)

Never seen it before, I wouldn't use it myself knowing how I care for my own chicks. I always use a heater bulb to warm there ambient air. It keeps them comfortable at all times.
My bulb gets hotter the longer it's turned on
Is there any way of cooling it?

If your brooding indoor use only 125 watt bulb with a lamp shield, basically a brooder lamp.

The 125 watt bulb, only gets to 114F and it doesn't get any higher. Make sure to have a temperature reader on the floor of the brooder under the light. It's to know the amount of heat and to lift the lamp higher if needed.

I'll try that, I just gave to find a bulb..

If you know how hot the lamp puts out just move the lamp higher to adjust the temperature for the chicks. But use a temperature reader to know exactly how warm it is.

Thing is, my reptile lamp gets warmer and warmer slowly and doesn't seem to stop heating up.
