If concerned just get some fenbendazole. While technically off label, it's commonly used in small birds and poultry and many other small mammals of all ages. Most commonly used for dairy cattle due to no withholding period.
It has shorter duration of action than ivermectin.

It has become known for human use in recent times for certain purposes. Although not approved for that.

Very easy to administer via drinking water also.

If you're willing to go through the trouble, freezing and then cooking is probably double-safe.

Interesting! I never thought of feeding my chickens snails. I had no idea worms carried gapeworm.

Throwing them in a pressure cooker would raise the cooking temperature above boiling point of water.
