If it's any consolation, I once had a pekin who suffered a dog attack. He ended up spending weeks in the garden tub of my master bath. The flies were way too bad outside, I had no where to pin him up, and his injuries were bad. The tub was easy to clean - I just put a rubber welcome mat in there so he'd keep clean. It was something else. i was very very glad for him to return to outside!!
They really do make a lot of watery mess!

Pekins are really special anyway. Well I say that, but I really love all ducks. But the pekins do tend to have a certain personality about them.
