I do spring/summer and September if needed. I dont do the winter months either. We test for heartworms once a year along with a Lyme disease test at the same time. Our monthly heartworm preventative also takes care of other worms. Even though my vet recommends year-round heartworm prevention, I usually stop in late fall once/if the temperatures are too cold for mosquitoes then start back up again in the spring.
Well most dogs around here aren't living a high risk life for those. Willow is at a higher risk for both but he said with the risks it's nor really worth it. I should put them on flea and tick at least thoughNot common where you live?
My cat will attack my dogs if they get in a spat or play too roughvery random but today one of my dogs accidently bit me while I was playing with him (totally not his fault) and my cat charged him. She dosn't like the dogs but as long as they're not annoying her she's chill. I didn't know cat's tried to protect their owners. very interesting experience.
my dog was confused though...
