I got this for the chickens but the dosage instructions are for calves. I was wondering if anyone knew the instructions for chickens.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I want to start treatment ASAP.

Thanks in advance,
Jason

Okay MORE questions.

Im giving it to my laying flock as well. There are 6 ducks with them and I was wondering if Corid is bad for the ducks?

I may seperate them as I dont want to have to add Corid to the Kiddy Pool (because the chickens sometimes drink out of it.)

Can ducks get Cocci?
Do they need treated like chickens?
Is Corid bad for them?

I think thats all, but Im not going to treat the laying flock until I know if the ducks have to be seperated.

Thanks,
Jason

the common dosage for chickens is 1 tsp per gallon if mild case for 7 days
if dieing case it is 2 tsp per gallon for 5 days then 1 tsp per gallon for 2 more days

Coccidiosis
Symptoms: Red blood in the droppings; birds thin because coccidia attack the lining of the gut and nutrients from food are not absorbed. Birds may be ill for weeks.
Cause: Ground dirty with droppings of birds which carry coccidia. Coccidia are protozoa and cannot be eliminated with antibiotics. More likely in summer in hot, wet conditions.
Treatment: Anticoccidial in the drinking water. The coccidiostat added to poultry (hen) grower pellets is not a treatment. Coccidiosis is not a common disease in ducks.

so you will have to treat them also

why are you thinking they have coccidiosis?
did you find the bloody droppings

I've found the dosage listed at 2 tablespoons (1 oz) per gallon.

I've also found it to be 8 oz per 50 gallons. To make the math neater, I did 8 oz per 48 gallons, or 1 oz per 6 gallons, 1 tablespoon per 3 gallons, or, as others have said, one teaspoon per gallon.

I suspect that one is the dosage for intervention treatment, the other preventative.
