I have a large aviary that's about 7 ft. long by 9 ft. that i currently have a pair of Ringneck Pheasants. I was thinking if i could somehow keep a few doves in their as well. I have all my doves in another aviary that is smaller than the other aviary, I wanted to give my doves more room.
What do you think, could it be done?

Any suggestion would be appreciated!

I have a friend that did that. It worked fine with his pigeons but had some greenwing dove tear their head up but this was chicken wire and he could only keep his doves with hardware cloth pens. Hope this helps.

Is there a shed or enclosd area attached? The doves are sure to attract Coopers hawks that will be hitting the aviary, and the doves will need a place to hide. Pheasants may not allow the doves to eat on the ground, and you may have to provide a raised feeding and water area.

Thanks deatinduck for replying!

Thanks sourland!
There aren't any hawks or similar birds around here. I'm in a residential area like in the suburbs. I don't think I'll have to worry about hawks here. Could i maybe have an area of the pen where only the doves can enter maybe through a slot or hole. I was thinking about how this would work and if i placed nestboxes for the doves and they have babies, if they by accident fall out, the pheasants I'm sure would eat them. But again maybe have an area of the pen where only the doves can enter through?

Thanks!!
