I recently purchased 4 white/peach young ringneck doves and am not sure what the correct term for their color is....2 are what I would call pied with and even mix of splashes of each color and black neck rings, the other 2 are solid white with a white (no) neck ring and peach only faintly on the ends of their wing and tail feathers. What is the proper term for this coloring pattern? I have looked at dove genetic site but they only mention the various patterns by name no pictures :-(

Hi there! maybe this site will help you out, its' a breeders page,w ith pictures of some of his ringneck doves and their colors (with pictures yay)!

The ones with the peach "tips" don't look like anything there except the "lemons" but the lemons don't have the color on their tails, only their flights...hmm since they look different in person than in photos maybe I'll take photos to compare :) Thanks!

Oop I missed that about the color of the ring neck..

I would think they might be peach pearl ringneck dove. I am looking at the Strombergs catalog and the ones with a white ring say they are the color and then pearl after them. I suppose that might be some sort of genetic color modifier. This is just a guess. Strombergs does have some nice pictures of a lot of different color doves though.
