D'uccle breeders Database

Teddilliza-did you ever hear back from Karl Urshel? Any of the serious MF d'uccle breeders I have actually gotten ahold of are not selling right now...and believe me those few dedicated breeders are few and hard to find!

I've had my MF d'Uccles for over 2 years now.

The roo won BoV in an ABA sanctioned show as a cockeral in 2008, as well as winning 1st place in all 3 ABA sanctioned shows he was in 2008, and 2009. The Mille Fleur are NOT hatchery birds, very slow to mature and very sweet disposition. Got them from a BYC member in March 2008.

I have 3 hens at the moment, with pullets 'waiting in the wings". They have consistently won 1st or 2nd place in their variety 2008 & 2009. Here are a couple of photos.

I have a quad of Lavender d'Uccles as well. Although they won for their variety 1n 2009 they had little competition. I am not satisfied with the wattles on the rooster and am planning to breed those out and improve these birds. They are a gorgeous color though and every chick has matured into the same even lavender.

I have a pair of starter birds that I am developing into Butterscotch d'Uccles. The chicks so far are a lovely buff and much more evenly colored than their parents (female is buff mottled, male is a strawish porcelain). I also have a pair of chicks from chickenzoo's buff d'Uccle project to add to them. Hers are a slightly darker gold than mine. My goal is to have as even a gold as possible, so that I have d'Uccles in silver & gold

I'm off to a good start, I believe.

I do sell hatching eggs, only on BYC and only when my bator and broodies are full. My eggs are very fertile, packed nicely (none broken yet) and some of my 'grandchicks' are as far away as AK.
I do sell chicks, but only locally (no shipping). I will sell most of the SQ chicks in September at the TN Valley fair show or the fall Cocke Co show.

I think I saw that auction too... What's the name of the breeder? I want some blue mottled (and maybe black too) so please keep us posted on your experiences!

It's 1234Muki...top rated seller and I had a good shipping experience...I'll certainly let you know how they turn out!

I've also gotten eggs from 123Muki on Ebay and upintheholler here on BYC, and the chicks just hatched from these last week. I believe neither has hatchery stock, so I hope some turn out nice. As far as colors, I have 5 porcelain, 1 mille fleur, several lavender and blue mottled, and two black mottled. They are the cutest chicks!

I'd also like to show them eventually.

Thank you for starting this thread. I'm see I'm not the only one having trouble finding these little guys. I'm very new to this and learning all I can while searching for them. I finally found a breeder in Ga. who sold me a young trio to get started. I just got them last week and love them. The roo is gorgeous and the hens are beautifull. I have photos of them on the website I've just started but they really don't do them justice.

I would also like to get the different colors but as you all know they're very hard to find. After I've gotten some experience hatching, I'd like to get some eggs from SQ birds but until then I'll work and learn from these little guys.

Wegotchickens those are some beautiful birds and when I get some experience hatching, I hope you'll sell me some of your eggs...lolol

I hope more established breeders will post here.
Sandy

Just won a bid for 12+ black mottled d'Uccle eggs off eBay... the parents look pretty good judging by the pictures offered, so we'll see what we get. Maybe I'll be suppling some of these guys for y'all soon!

Edited to add: seller is "aviholic" out of Salem, OR

I am starting to breed them.
I have a nice flock of Mille Fleurs. I have a trio of self blue, and brown red, just hatched a bunch of blue mottled. I have a lovely golden neck hen. I am looking to purchase hatching eggs for the golden neck, blue mille fleur, and porcelain.
Also interested in other unusual or not so common color varieties.
Just wanted to add that the mottleds that I just hatched came from wwmicasa1, great hatching %. Lovely chicks.
