Hi Everyone, I feed my ducks Dodson and Horrell pellets each day, mixed with a blend of corn, seeds and sweetcorn (I think) from the farmer over the road who has had poultry a long time. They get fresh kale/spring greens most mornings, dried mealworms and roam for buggs all day. Is there anything you would change/add to their feeding schedule? They are 7 months old, Indian Runners

Hey Ssutor! :frow sounds okay if you can't get your hands on some actual duck pellets. Normally the only problem with chicken feed to ducks is too high calcium and not high enough niacin. But being a grower feed it won't have near as much calcium as a layer feed. They sound like they are very loved and well cared for
Thank you! I sprinkle Niacin on their food every day and they love this with the pellets. Maybe i will research around for good duck pellets but on the back of the package it says ducks and chickens

Ah, yes, the personalities! In my experience, all runners love to eat. But my runner queen, Quinn, literally jumps up and down when she sees me with food. It makes me smile every time. She also is the one to lead the parade to the back door -- managing to hop up three steps -- if she believes treats are on their way out of the house. It's not graceful, but it works for her every time.
