Hello all!
I wanted to see if anyone has tried the layer pellets for ducks? Just looking for some feed back!!

i’ve been thinking about switching to mazuri and currently i use purina duck pellets, is that any good?

i also do daily veggies and bugs/fish
I've never used Purina duck pellets, so I can't say anything about it. I have had 2 very qualified avian vets, with lots of experience with ducks, tell me to use Mazuri. I also get my ducks' blood work done at least once yearly. Since switching to Mazuri their health and blood results have improved. Obviously I have a very small sample size, with no control ducks so it could definitely be a coincidence. I also let them forage, and feed them a very small handful each of mealworms a day. They also get small amounts of produce like tomatoes or lettuce as a treat.

and your ducks are just pets too right? i want them on the best diet to be healthy and happy, not to lay the most eggs or anything

I also just have my ducks as pets, I probably never would've switched to the Mazuri if my girl didn't start to have her egg laying issues, but I'm glad I did and I'll keep buying it because my vet recommended it and my ducks just seem to like it more.
