Duck sensitive vent area won't eat or walk

I'd go ahead and give her another ml at bedtime so she has 2 doses in her of the calcium gluconate. One member on here had a duck who was egg-bound and she dosed her 4 days in a row before she laid hopefully it won't take that long for yous if this is the problem.

Thank you. Unfortunately today she's not any better - I'm going to take her to the vet tomorrow if I can hopefully get an appointment

Unfortunately our avian specalist is out of town. But I'm going to take her to the farm vet - they've seen my birds and helped me quite a bit as well, just isn't my first choice to see her. But the only option right now. I'll keep you updated!

The vet really doesn't know what's going on with her. He said he agrees with me and does not feel an egg. He gave her a steroid shot and a b12 shot - and Albon to treat in case theirs coccidia but he tried to get some fecal and didn't see anything. But for now he said keep syringe feeding her and getting her to drink because she's very dehydrated

I just tried to feed her and she died I don't know if she aspirated and I killed her or if it was the medications.

oh no I am so sorry. It was most likely what was going on inside of her and the stress of it all. Did she choke when you were trying to feed her? I doubt you were the cause.

She didn't seem to choke - there was no noises but she started opening and closing her mouth very slightly as if gasping but silently, and then within maybe a minute she was dead. It was very quick and she didn't thrash around much

I really don't think it was you. Just think of how long she hasn't been well and maybe even longer than we know because they can hide their symptoms until many times it is too late to even try to help. You tried your best to help her. Please don't blame yourself and thank the Lord she went quick instead of lingering and suffering.
I know I always second guess myself when I lose one of my sweet birds what could I have done differently but sometimes there just isn't an answer.
