Duck water mess is getting intolerable-are geese as bad?

Yeah, ducks are messy slobby things but that's what ducks are. What did you expect? Can't change em.
My ducks are pigs but i don't mind. Love them anyways.
Don't have geese but I'm assuming they are drippy poopy pigs too.

I was aware that they were messy, but I never figured it would be the way it is. We have had soil erosion in certain spots of our property due to the duck damage. I guess that after a year of them going through 10 gallons of water a day I am just kind of sick of it.

So you're saying that the geese are equally as bad if not worse than the ducks? I don't know that I'm up for the challenge of having that situation. I have 17 chickens and they are all perfect angels who make so little mess that I only have to clean out their run every couple of weeks. They have a large run that is about 2000 square feet.

the laundry buckets are kinda deep and I find that the dirt goes to the bottom and the cleaner water rises to the top. I've got 7 ducks and they don't come close to draining any of the 3 buckets I put out everyday. When it gets really cold here I don't let them have the pool either. How many ducks do you have?

Sounds like rehoming them is your best bet. Maybe you should stick with beaks and not bills. Goodluck with finding them a new home.
