Duck with dislocated knee

RIP Legs, the sweetest ducky around. He loved cuddles, bathtime and pets. Before the vet put him to sleep, he walked his way over to my chest, pushed his body against me and cuddled his head in my kneck. That pretty much broke me.

I am sorry.

Why did the vet put him to sleep?

I am sorry.

Why did the vet put him to sleep?
All the tendons in his legs were bad, basically Legs was able to rotate his legs almost 180 degrees, his hocks were swollen, they said thay we could put him in a sling, but that he would more then likely have lifetime pain. She works for our local waterfowl rescue, so I believe her when she was talking about. Not to mention she has chickens and ducks herself.

Thank you, I was wondering what the vet had to say.
