I am so sorry for your loss.RIP Legs, the sweetest ducky around. He loved cuddles, bathtime and pets. Before the vet put him to sleep, he walked his way over to my chest, pushed his body against me and cuddled his head in my kneck. That pretty much broke me.

All the tendons in his legs were bad, basically Legs was able to rotate his legs almost 180 degrees, his hocks were swollen, they said thay we could put him in a sling, but that he would more then likely have lifetime pain. She works for our local waterfowl rescue, so I believe her when she was talking about. Not to mention she has chickens and ducks herself.I am sorry.
Why did the vet put him to sleep?
She wasnt sure if it was something from hatch or the family that he was with before we rescued him.Was this something he had from hatch and it just progressively got worse?
Thank you, I was wondering what the vet had to say.All the tendons in his legs were bad, basically Legs was able to rotate his legs almost 180 degrees, his hocks were swollen, they said thay we could put him in a sling, but that he would more then likely have lifetime pain.
