I will add a picture after this little spew here, but I have four ducks in my flock, two males and two females. I have incubated and hatched three eggs, two of which were the same size and one slightly smaller one. My two females are a Black Runner and a Khaki Campbell so obviously the babies are going to have one or the other in them. The two males are a Khaki Campbell and a White Call duck. Sooooo, the one small egg hatched, and it is a bit smaller than the other two ducklings. Is this because it is a khaki campbell and it doesn't have runner in it or is it possible my male Call duck actually sired a baby? (In my opinion, I didn't think he had the size to get the deed done so I figured I would rule him out as a father)
Secondly, if the duckling is a khaki runner mix, will it stand up like a runner or will it look more like a khaki campbell? I heard from a few different people that since my female runner is black and of course my male khaki campbell is brown then the ducklings between the two of them, the males would be black, and the females would be brown, but how will the stances turn out since runners are very upright compared to other ducks?
