duckling keeps making loud cry for no reason

hey everyone. wandering if anyone knows why my little peep peep would do this. i dont know the sex of 3 of my 4 ducklings . one is girl for sure as at 3 weeks she has started to quack. the other 3 still peep but occasionally while laying relaxing one will yell out once really loud. like hes being pinched. not sure why. anyone else experience this.

Vocal....Possibly cold or too warm?..... Where do they live for starters?....

i live in alberta canada. right now 20 to 25 Celsius here . and they are lounging in my livingroom on a rug so its not too cold or too hot. and its only one that does it. peeps once super loud then goes back to sleep.

My Cayuga girl used to do that while sleeping. She'd startle the heck out of herself and her WH buddy, then pass back out. Always seemed like dreaming to me. Like when a dog starts grunting, moving their paws, etc.

they are now just over 3 weeks now, I feed the 20 % duck starter , they live inside still as I havnt finished their outdoor pen but we try to keep them out in the yard and in their pool most of the day when we are home.
Gal5150 I think that you might be right, it does it while just lounging.
Im so new to this I just want to make sure Im doing everything right.

Where is Alberta Are you, northern? central? or southern. Im in Central Alberta, west of RED Deer. our weather has been pretty unpredictable. How old were your ducklings when you moved them to the outdoor pen?

I am west of Edmonton....My Ducklings have been out in the Coop for 3 weeks...The older ones are now 6 weeks and the youngest one for two weeks...It is Four weeks old...I lock them in at night in the Coop...They are doing great ...Happy little Ducklings....
