So our baby khaki campbell ducklings have started hatching, not sure how many yet as I don't want to disturb them too much but I've not any experience with ducklings under a broody hen, I'm just wondering if the ducklings will respond to her noises like the chicks do, like when she calls them over for food etc. Also when will they start wanting to go in the water? She is very protective as a mother so I'm hoping to integrate them with the flock straight away. Any experience or knowledge would be so welcome!

She should be fine! Since the broody is a chicken, the ducklings won't be as waterproof as they would be under a duck hen, so watch that they don't get too wet/chilled.

Here's one of mine from year ago:

Aww is she a bantam? Here are mine, they were trying to swim in their drinking bowl so I put a small bowl of water out for them. Will take it out if the weather turns cold though, thanks for the tip about the non oily feathers!
