Ducks eat garlic? Mine apparently do! They used to turn their beaks up to it.

I've got a waste bin in the kitchen. A lot of times it is full of garlic, onions peels & pieces, tomatoes, cabbage, peppers, etc...

They eat up the tomatoes and cabbage, and peppers every time.

I had planted some garlic and it disappeared. Last night I dumped the waste bin into their pen and to my surprise (I had used about 6 cloves of garlic yesterday), they ate up all the garlic skin and even the onion skin and pieces.

Darn it, now I need to fence in the garlic I just planted before they find that, too!

I have mostly the muscovy breed, and they have a bottomless pit for a stomach!

I was under the impression onions were not safe for poultry to eat. Not sure about garlic

Thanks for mentioning that. I’ll have to separate onions but garlic is generally safe and good for them from what I read. But not so much in high dosage.

Sounds like more of a belly ache for them. I love my ducks, they are my pets. Good thing I mentioned that and you caught it.

Onions are toxic for ducks since they contain a compound called thiosulphate. Ducks can't digest this compound properly, and therefore you risk exposing your ducks to digestion problems due to this compound, especially if you feed them with too many onions

You should see them when they (Muscovys) fly! They don’t like flying much but do when they are startled or hear the food coming!

I'd say!! okay what is green mold off of oranges suppose to do?
Penicillin! I do this and ACV maybe once a month to make sure they stay healthy. Most are 2-3 years old and not ever had a health problem. Only thing that gets them is sometimes a stray dog will jump the fence :(
