Has anyone ever had duck eggs that look under developed? I’m on day 24 of incubating and I’ve got 6 eggs that look like they should as far as development goes. But I’ve got two eggs that look more like they are a few days behind in incubation and event their air sacs are smaller. Has anyone ever seen this before?

Do you have an additional calibrated thermometer inside? Your temp is off I bet. You probably have cool spots.

I have a total of three Thermometers in my incubator. The ones toward the back were both averaging about 99.5, the one toward the front was averaging 98.5. The two eggs that are behind in development were toward the front of the incubator, but there were also two other eggs in that same row that seem to be on the right track development wise. Either way, tomorrow is day 25 what do you think I should do with the two underdeveloped ones?

Did you calibrate the three thermometers though? Leave them in, but put them in the back. They'll probably still hatch, but be a few days late. Can you post a candling pic of them?

No, I didn’t really calibrate the thermometers. They were just all showing the same temps in the same spot. Here’s the two eggs. Should I take them out of the automatic turner along with the rest of the eggs on lockdown?

I would definitely try to calibrate them. Take them out of the turner. Both of those eggs look awesome. Alive for sure. Just give them time.
