Hello, & Welcome To The Dungeons & Dragons Thread, where D&D nerds can chat!! 🐉🧌🦄⚔️🤺🪓🎲👑🧟‍♀️
I have personally been involved with D&D for a few months now, our library has a club that meets once a month.
I don't know anything really about D&D as I just started a few months ago, but I hope to learn from others in this thread😀 Feel free to nerd-out and post pics of your character sheets, characters you designed, and anything having to do with Dungeons & Dragons!

An important note: please be respectful to others, as we all still learning about D&D and the rules!

I'll tag some folks who I saw mention about D&D when I did a search:
@ilovemybabychickies
@Nabiki
@CoopBoots
@InvertGang
@azurbanclucker
@AGeese
@JacinLarkwell

Don't feel like y'all have to respond to this thread, I just tagged you because you mentioned Dungeons & Dragons and you might perhaps be interested in talking about it more:)

Er.

I mean...

Hi!

I've been playing since the 80's and I DM 5e for my kids' friends as well as old school White Wolf WoD stuff. I don't play as much anymore, my last playgroup all dispersed around the country and we don't all seem to have time to get together anymore.

I've been playing a little 3.5 and a lot of 5e for probably... eh, a little over 10 years. Until Covid it was a treasured weekly event at my home. I still play with most of the same group when our widely different schedules align, but it's closer to once monthly (if that).

I was never a strong technical player, but I have tons of 5e books and live with a very experienced DM!

My house is also full of dragons and minis. :D

That's awesome!

I bet there is a D&D club near you, I bet you could probably check with your library if they have one if you'd like to get back into it!😀

I remember when this new type of game called Dungeons & Dragons was featured in Games Magazine. I begged my mom until she got me the box set when it came out. I still have that box set...
That is so cool!😮
I haven't played in years, but I still have all of my books up to edition 3.5.
Wow! I have no idea what edition I'm playing, I'll have to ask my DM. Likely the most latest one. :)
I feel so young, haha. I started playing and DMing around 10 years ago, but I haven't played much in the last year or so since my group fell apart.
Too bad there isn't such thing as dungeons and dragons online, or else we could all play together lol! Wait, I think there is but I don't think you can interact with other real people??

Nice! I so wish our campaign/club (not sure of correct term?) got together more often than once a month because it makes it hard to remember what we did last in the game.:hmm Also our club is getting over 5 new members, and we already have like 10 and it's already been hard having 10 because I rarely get to take a turn...And the DM lets most people stretch their turn to be longer than everyone else's, including mine. Like for instance there will be someone that walks back like 30 ft or whatever, and then does like 2 other things which I don't think is fair 😟

Me neither lol, I still have to ask the DM which die I roll and dumb stuff like that😅

So cool! did you create some of them?

We've tried that with my dispersed group and it just wasn't the same. Timing was also hard with 3 hours difference in times for all of us and schedules.
I believe that. I had a group for a while that was all over the US, and it was hard to coordinate.

Edit: And you're right. It's not the same as gathering around a table with pizza, chips, and other junk food while getting off track and then getting back to playing!
