Hello! My favorite hen Rosie (Easter Egger; profile pic) has 8 of her eggs in the incubator, all of which are viable as of today's candling! 6 days before we started collecting her eggs (and prior to that), she was in contact with an Easter Egger rooster and two Lakenvelder roosters. The immediate 3 days before we started collecting her eggs, she was in contact with an Easter Egger roo, a Barred Rock, two Fayoumis, and two Lakenvelders. Since the day we started collecting her eggs, she has only had access to a Lakenvelder rooster (a lot of moving around, I know!). I am only getting half of the offspring, because I am in a deal with a local lady with an incubator that if she can incubate she gets half of the offspring. They should be hatching on the 6th. I'm excited to see how these chicks turn out! I will update as they grow!
