The earlobe thing is more of a coincidence than anything. It isn't actually linked to egg color, it's just that a lot of breeds that lay brown eggs happen to have red earlobes and breeds that lay white eggs happen to have white earlobes. There are breeds that break this rule and there's no telling with mixed breeds like easter eggers
