I have a hen sitting on eggs for 1-2 weeks now. I added a few eggs for her to sit on and she has been laying some more and I think others have layed in there too. So like 12 eggs under here some within just last couple days..

Well my wife needed eggs for dinner and didn't know where this hen was so she took some of the eggs that it had been sitting on. And when she cracked one and found it was a chick. She cracked two more and they looked fine so she used them. Said she did the water test if they float or not first.

Should we be considered of eating it? My guess is she got one that was not fertilized or that had been recently layed. But they have been sitting under a chicken been heated for who knows how long.

I wouldn't eat eggs that have been incubated, they also could be incubating bacteria. The float test only tells you how much moisture an egg has lost, not if its fresh or edible.
