My son (whos 10) asked me if I would fry him up a ringneck pheasant egg so he could tell his buddies that he has eaten one. I did not do it as I think it would be very gameie tasting. I know people eat quail eggs but I never heard of anyone eating pheasant eggs not to say in some parts of the world its not a special treat. Any how what do you all think?

I always eat extra eggs. There's nothing better than a good fresh egg. Although these are smaller, your son can brag about eating a dozen eggs for breakfast to impess his friends. Three pheasant eggs is equal to one large chicken egg. Let him eat if he is really willing. I'm suprised that quail eggs are considered a special treat when pheasant eggs are just as good if not better. Might be that no one ever tried to market pheasant eggs for eating or the production of eggs on a marketable scale never existed.
